The Black and Tan Dachshund is one of the most recognizable Dachshunds in the world. There are still people in the world that believe that Dachshunds come in two colors..lol Red and Black and Tan. When in truth, there are more color pattern combinations in our breed than any other dog breed in the world. Black and Tan Dachshunds are two colored dachshund that has a black base or body color with tan "points" above the eyes, around the muzzle, on the feet, across the chest, and under the tail. They are sometimes mistakenly referred to as a black and red, or black and rust dachshund, but in our breed we prefer "black and tan dachshund". This is the most classic German look that our doxies come in. We have been in love with all the beautiful variety that our dachshund breed offers for years, but black and tan dachshunds are still a classic beauty that takes your breath away!
