About Us and Our Doxie Puppies

It's important to get to know Dachshund Breeders before you commit to buy one of their Dachshund Puppies. Here are a few of our most common questions and answers. We are happy to offer references and have been AKC inspected and approved. Are the puppies on this site Miniature Dachshunds or Standard Dachshunds?
We only raise Miniature Dachshunds (a.k.a. weiner dogs, doxies, weenie dogs, etc.). We do know a few incredible breeders that also breed Standard Dachshunds, though. If you would like their name and number, let us know.

Where are you located?
We are located just south of Somerset, KY in a small town called Burnside. It's beautiful here. We live in the Danial Boone National Forest on several acres and are surrounded by Family and Friends! We are just a few miles from Lake Cumberland and Cumberland Falls. We welcome visitors to our home, or can meet you part way to help with the trip, should you decide to buy one of our babies.

How long have you been raising Dachshunds?
We have been raising Miniature Dachshunds for almost ten years. We have researched the Dachshund breed extensively and are happy to share our knowledge.
Do you raise different breeds?
No..we only raise Miniature Dachshunds! They really are the best dog in the world! We did have earlier experience breeding different breeds, though. We love all dogs! You can learn more by click here.. about us

Are your Dachshund Puppies Registered?
Yes, all of our Dachshunds are registered. Though, we do charge extra for AKC papers and breeding rights. If you are just looking for a great pet with a great bloodline, you are in the right place. Every single breeding here is only done to better the breed. We are extremely proud of our Dachshund Adults and their puppies. We have worked hard for years to acquire and produce these incredible bloodlines are we are proud to share that with you.

Do you own the parents?
Yes, all of our Dachshund Puppies are out of our own beloved dogs and are really born right here in our home. We do not sell other breeders' puppies, or do any kind of broker work. On rare occasions, most breeders will use others'' stud for a litter from time to time. To bring in another bloodline. If that is the case we will offer a picture and pedigree of the stud.

Should you spay or neuter your pet?
Spay and Neutering your doxie puppy is always a wonderful thing! Males that are neutered young rarely ever develop the need to hike their leg, spray furniture or hump. Females that are spayed young don't have a period twice a year allover your furniture, either. Not to mention eliminating the accidental breeding to all the neighborhood dogs. There are real scientific studies that have proved that pets live healthier and longer lives when spayed and neutered at a young age! For more info click here Male vs. Female

When should you have your pet spayed or neutered?
Before 6 months is always a good rule of thumb, but you'll want to discuss this with your vet.

Why are your prices so much lower than the other breeders? We are determined to offer the best puppies available at the lowest prices! Our number one goal in life is to bring happiness to others with our adorable dachshund puppies. We rarely sell our puppies with breeding rights. We prefer really good pet homes for our babies.. good forever homes! We even ask you to sign a contract that if you are unable to keep our puppy, we'll help you find him a new home or bring him back home here until we can find him a good home.

Do your puppies come with shots and wormings?
YES.. all of our puppies are up to date on shots and wormings when they leave us. We will send their health records with you.
