Smooth Coat Miniature Dachshunds are among the easiest to maintain coats of all the dog breeds!  Very low shedders.  Practically no doggy odor.  No need for the groomers.... heck, they hardly ever need a bath.  Well, while all this is very true there are still some general maintenance issues you'll need to tend to.  For starters, nothing is better for the outside appearance of your dog than what you feed him!  Good high quality, premium dog food is the only way to go.  We feed Diamond Brand Premium Dog Foods, but would gladly recommend a few others.  Just send us an e-mail.  Iams and Eukenuba are two of the most common, but Purina One and Science Diet are great choices, too. Jakie is one of the only smooth coat Sniffntells Miniature Dachshunds in the United States.  He is a Canadian Import with a wonderful Championship Pedigree.  We are very proud of him.  Jakie has been a member of our family since 2006.  He has sired many of our most prized black and tan and chocolate and tan smooth coat Miniature Dachshunds.
